“I can’t believe it’s me,” wrote comedian Rosie O’Donnell in an Instagram post. She has been using Mounjaro, a medication to treat type 2 diabetes.
In an exclusive interview with Page Six in April, Rosie talked about using the medication over the past three years. She said she has been on the lowest dose for a full year.
“So, in the first year I took 2.5, in the second year I took 5.0, this is my third year taking it, and I’m now on the 7.5 dose. I lose on average half to one kilo per month,” said the former co-host of “The View.”
On Friday (23rd), Rosie posted a photo on stage holding a microphone. She was visibly thinner.
“I always thought that when I got smaller, I became more vulnerable and at risk,” she said. “So the fact that I had to wear a belt because my pants were falling down, I didn’t even know what to say.”

Besides the weight loss, the comedian also changed her eating habits. In 2023 she said that at Christmas she only drank water.
“I really stopped drinking like five or six Diet Cokes a day. Now I only drink water. And I’m avoiding sugar as much as I can,” she said.
O’Donnell, who moved to Ireland with her son after Donald Trump’s election, revealed on a TikTok talk show that she lost more weight after leaving the U.S.
The comedian underwent bariatric surgery after suffering a heart attack in 2012. “That surgery changed my life,” she told People in 2015, revealing she went from 109 kg to about 80 kg.
